A family owned and operated adventure tourism company, Skydive Jurien Bay has offered premium tandem skydive experiences since 2009.
With a fleet of aircraft including a Cessna Caravan and Cessna 206, we welcome over 5000 people each year to tandem skydive above the incredible, unspoilt natural wonder in Jurien Bay, the Turquoise Coast.
Owners Pete Lonnon and Christine Sparrow have been involved in the Australian skydiving industry since 1994, having worked at and owned several dropzones prior to establishing Skydive Jurien Bay. Both Christine and Pete take great pleasure in introducing people to skydiving in a town they are proud to call their home. Read the full “Our Story” here.

We jump all-year-round (7 days a week) and our northern coastal location ensures great weather conditions, even during winter. In fact autumn, winter and spring is the nicest time of the year to skydive.

Pete
Director, Pilot
Pete is the most experienced Chief Pilot in Western Australia. Pete has been skydiving for 30+ years and has operated drop zones in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Darwin and the Pilbara prior to establishing Skydive Jurien Bay. Former Board Member of the Australian Parachute Federation, Pete has been driving development of the skydiving industry in Australia for many years. Pete is proud of his immaculate safety record and is a well-known and respected personality in the Australian skydiving community.

Chrissy
Manager, Solo Instructor
Chrissy pays the wages, so everyone has to be nice to her. She’s also a Fly-In Fly-Out AFF instructor, and enjoys jumping with her son, Brett!
Mikey
Tandem Instructor and Solo Instructor, Dropzone Safety Officer, Parachute Rigger
Mikey knows everything there is to know about a parachute. Never seen sewing dresses, he loves “Jumping out of a plane!” Ready, setty spaghetti.
Belgy
Chief Instructor
Belgy is our Chief Instructor. With more than 20,000 skydivers he is one of the most experienced (and we think the best) Chief Instructor in Australia. Belgy worked with us first back in 2018, then did some travelling around the world until he decided to ride his bicycle from Belgium back to Jurien Bay. We were very happy to welcome him home!

Shelby
Operations Manager, Course Trainer, Solo Instructor
Shelby is the next big thing in roller-skating. When she’s not teaching people how to skydive, you’ll find Shelby in the carpark practicing her triple axels. Shelby loves her skydiving especially when combined with her other favorite thing, the beach!! Shelby also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2026. What a weapon!
Lindsey
Dropzone Safety Officer, Tandem and Solo Instructor, Course Trainer
Lindsey has been with us for nearly 5 years and is originally from the land of the long white cloud. Starting on the packing mat, he has slowly worked his way up the skydiving career ladder and recently attained his Course Trainer and Drop Zone Safety Officer ratings. When he’s not teaching or jumping, Lindsey can be found in the ocean, with a love for spearfishing and kitesurfing!
Shane
Tandem and Solo Instructor
Shane (yes, yet another Kiwi) started working for us as a packer in early 2023 and quickly obtained his coach rating, solo instructor rating and now has tandem, course trainer and drop zone safety officer ratings. He is extremely useful around a drop zone because he is also an aircraft engineer! When he’s not working, if he’s not at the beach, you’ll probably find him hanging out at the drop zone fun jumping.
Rainer
Tandem and Solo Instructor
Rainer joined us from Germany in 2023. He celebrated this year by buying a carton for the first time he has done 1000 jumps in one year! He started skydiving in 2011 and has been wingsuiting for 10 years and base jumped in Europe for 8 years. He loves all animals and can operate anything with wheels or chains but prefers parachutes!
Sam
Tandem and Solo Instructor, Dropzone Safety Officer
Sam started working in Jurien Bay in December 2024 for a 3 month job, and is yet another kiwi who never left! Sam never says no to a jump and is always filled with enthusiasm. He devotes so much time outside of working hours to teach, help and develop the student and novice skydivers, the dropzone wouldn’t be the same without him!
Kiwi
Dropzone Safety Officer, Tandem + Solo Instructor, Course Trainer
Kiwi AKA Matt is one of our NUMEROUS kiwis that work at Skydive Jurien Bay (See Lindsey, Baz, Shane and Dylan for the rest). Hey, we didn’t give him the nickname Kiwi, it would be too confusing, he had it when he got here, 4 years ago! Kiwi has a knack for turning anything into a set of drums and marches to the sound of his own beat. Kiwi’s zest for his job is infectious along with his cheeky smile!
Brett
Solo and Tandem Instructor, Dropzone Safety Officer
Brett is the true drop zone kid, growing up surrounded by skydiving. He caught a tandem canopy at 4 years old and was flying a tiny plane on his Dad’s lap at the same age. Brett did his first tandem at 9 (with special permission from the Australian Parachute Federation), and was the youngest solo skydiver in Australia at 15. (Also with special permission.) Brett has since gained his solo student and tandem instructor ratings, and is now working on his commercial pilot licence.
Ben
Ground Crew, Packer
Ben is the newest recruit to the dropzone. Bringing his gardening and handyman skills, we’ve all fallen for this top bloke! Ben has just completed his solo skydiver training and started on his skydiving journey and gaining experience in the air and on the ground.
Sas
Dropzone Safety Officer, Tandem + Solo Instructor, Course Trainer
Sas visits us from Victoria each Winter. He brings with him a wealth of 4 way FS competition knowledge and nearly 30 years of skydive experience.
Dylan
Solo and Tandem Instructor, Dropzone Safety Officer
Dylan came to work for us when he saw his big brother Shane smashing out the jumps and skydiving ratings. Starting out as ground crew, then packing, then coaching, and onto solo instruction. Now Dylan is part of our tandem team and has recently obtained his drop zone safety officer qualification.
DJ
Pilot
DJ is our lead pilot and rugby tragic. He has been known to impulsively fly off to World Cup Finals in Paris!
Hayley
Customer Service, Manifest
Hayley learned to jump with us in 2026 while working at the local pub. Then she refused to leave until we gave her a job!
Terry
Equipment Manager, Parachute Rigger and Packer
Terry is our most important worker at the dropzone. She is responsible for ensuring all our equipment is in tip top shape and meets the safety requirements for skydiving. Terry enjoys crafting up wee presents for friends and sharing stories from her earlier skydives!
She also recently celebrated her anniversary of 40 years skydiving. Yes FOUR ZERO. And she still loves it with regular skydiving holidays to events around the country for “Big Way” formations and special events with different cool types of aircraft. What a weapon!
Raven
Customer Service Manager
Hailing from New Mexico, Raven joined us in early 2023 with no experience in skydiving but plenty of experience in customer service management. She has become invaluable to the company. “Life-changing” is how she describes working at Skydive Jurien Bay!
Ali
Mr Fixit, Ground Crew, Company Psychiatric Nurse!
Ali comes to our rescue ALL the time! He’s mostly driving out to our alternative landing area near the airport to supervise student’s landings. As a retired psychiatric nurse he is the perfect person to hang around Skydive Jurien Bay and is our most beloved team member.
Our Aircraft
We fly a Cessna Caravan which takes 16 people and a Cessna 206 which takes 6 people. We are extremely proud of our aircraft which are immaculately maintained and presented.
Sustainable Practices
Skydive Jurien Bay is committed to environmental sustainability. Amongst a variety of eco-friendly initiatives we engage in, we voluntarily offset our aircraft fuel emissions by tree planting through “Carbon Neutral” and our new Cessna Caravan aircraft is saving us 15,000 litres of fuel per year (63 tonnes less carbon). Our reception office water facility is rain water in an effort to reduce consumption of ground water and we use solar panels to power our office which reduces electricity consumption. The marine eco-system in Jurien Bay is spectacular and unique so we encourage all visitors to Jurien Bay to treat it with respect and not to litter.
