Elite skydivers perform vertical formation skydives

Over the weekend July 22 and 23 (2017), 17 of Australia’s best skydivers came to Skydive Jurien Bay for a vertical formation skydive skills camp, run by Kieren James of Team Focus.

The camp was designed to improve skydivers vertical skydiving skills and also serve as a selection camp for the upcoming 2017 Australian Vertical Formation Record attempts, being held in October in New South Wales.

The group was doing 17 person skydives out of Skydive Jurien Bay’s Cessna Caravan.

“We did some of the best vertical jumps i’ve ever done in Western Australia”, said Kieren James.

It’s obvious that the sports skydiver scene in Western Australia is growing as well as the skills are improving.

Skydive Jurien Bay has been teaching people how to skydive solo since the very beginning. If you’re interested in learning to jump solo then just go to our learn to skydive page here.
