It's the first time the trophy has been skydiving in Western Australia

On 11 November 2014, the Cricket World Cup trophy made quite an entrance to Australia, tandem skydiving onto the beach in Jurien Bay, Skydive Jurien Bay, Western Australia.

The world first kicks off the Australian leg of the trophy’s world tour which lasts for three months and will travel to all parts of the country.

WorldCup1The trophy is worth $50,000 so we went to extra special precautions to make sure it was secure. It was strapped onto the Tandem Instructor and the passenger (who is an experienced skydiver also). We made sure that it wasn’t coming off, but also we had a procedure in place to ensure that it didn’t flick up and hit the passenger or instructor in the face when the parachute opened.

This is definitely a first for not only skydiving in Western Australia but sky diving in Perth and the world.

Our Australian flag parachute was used and it was absolutely stunning watching it land under our great flag.

GO AUSTRALIA!
